As the first doll of Rozen Maiden series, Suigintou is the oldest one among the sisters.
Normally, her body is incomplete because Rozen canceled building her in the halfway. At the begginning,
Suigintou lacked "Rosa Mystica(The Mystic Soul)", as the other Rozen Dolls have.
Despite her sisters, she has the ability of  drawing energy to live without a medium contract.

Her face is combined with long white hair and bright pink eyes.
No matter how her body is incomplete, her dress makes her so cool, giving her a "Dark Angel"
Appearance.
There are upside-down crosses placed on the bottom end of her skirt.
She has dark wings on her back and a hood that has a pink rose on it.
Also there is another rose figure on top center of her dress' chest.

In both the anime and the manga, she appeared to be the evil character. Striking Shinku and the
others to get their Rosa Mysticas, to become The Alice.
Also she has a goal, to turn the others into "Junk", showing her perfection by other's imperfection.
She has a great hatred for Shinku, who calls her "Junk"(The real reason of her to want everybody to be turned into junk).

In reality, she has a huge heart, which is filled with love and kindness.
In Rozen Maiden: Ouvertüre, Suigintou's past was revealed, telling us
how she became villian and why she hates Shinku.
She was betrayed by her feelings, while she was already thinking that why she is half-completed
and why father(Rozen) left her alone.



After she makes a contract with Megu, she starts to lose her hatred for others, becoming a good person again. But Megu was having health problems, in anime, she is told by Barasuishou that she can heal her with
using all Rosa Mysticas together, attituding her to strike the others, to start the Alice Game.
In manga, she was trying to grant Megu's wish, the Rozen Contract, when they attacked by
Kirakishou.

水銀燈(Suigintou) name is coming from 水(Mizu) 銀(Gin) 燈(Tou) combination,
which means Liquid Silver Lamp, full translation to English is; Mercury Lamp.
